Born and raised in our nation’s capital and currently calling London home, Devon Sol is back with a brand new sound accompanied with intense lyrics that may make some fans say “O-M-G!”
“My last two albums were cookie cutter, teeny bop, pop songs. I wasn’t looking to rattle any cages. I just wanted to make good pop music,” Devon Sol explained. “With the changes I’ve been through in my life, I just decided it was time to really talk about how I feel on certain issues and my life experiences. You’re either going to like the EP or you’re not.”
To ease fans into his new sound, the singer’s first track will be a song dedicated to his father called “Dear Dad.”
“He raised me in the slums of Washington, D.C. and we somehow made it out. We found a way out of nowhere. This is my way of saying ‘thank you.’ I just want to make him proud,” explained Devon Sol. “The other songs are totally different. Then I get back to my terrible ways.”

When Devon Sol isn’t making music, he’s working as a contractor for the U.S. Department of State. It’s a job he landed shortly after leaving his stint with the U.S. Marine Corps. For the last six months, he’s called England home.
“The experience has been great. The people here are very friendly. This job has taken me to 11 different countries,” he stated.
Influenced by such artists as PM Dawn, Michael Jackson and Def Leopard, Devon’s music takes on an 80’s feel. To learn more about Devon Sol, check out his website at www.devonsol.com.
